Makeup is an easy, inexpensive way to change up your look, especially if you shop the surprisingly wide range available at your local drugstore. Luckily, this spring, we have a lot of fun trends to try, from glitter to blue eyeshadow (you read correctly). Here are a few that you may want to implement into your makeup routine, whether you try one trend at a time or a double up on the weekend.

1. GET THE BLUES (And the lavenders.) The 70s and early 80s called and want their blue shadow back! Just kidding: Blue eye shadow is back in 2016 with a vengeance. But this isn't the old school version where the shadow extends up to your eyebrows. Today's blue and lavender shadows range from sheer pastel washes to cobalt and deep purple combined with dark liner for a dramatic look.

2. GLITTER, GLITTER EVERYWHERE Not just for New Year's Eve anymore, glitter is making a full-force appearance on faces everywhere this spring. Scared of looking like a Christmas tree exploded on your face? No worries: Just apply a smattering of glitter on your lids -- or if you're extra bold -- extend the glitter to your temples and under your eyes as an eyeliner.

3. MOUTH OFF Bold, bright matte mouths have been around for a few seasons now, and show no sign of stopping. Burnt orange, fuchsia, cherry red and wine have been seen all over the runways this spring. It's the easiest and most dramatic way to change your look. Afraid of looking too different? Dip your toe in the red-lip pond and try a red gloss instead to see how you feel. You may just graduate to a matte red in no time!
